Hosts Cambodia is gearing up to get medals from the major badminton event in July

 The Hosts Cambodia Team is gearing up hard to win medals at the Badminton Asia Southeast Asia Regional Championships 2025, which will be held from July 7 to 12, 2025 at Morodok Techo National Stadium. 

The Hosts Cambodia Team will face athletes from Timor-Leste, Brunei, Myanmar and Laos in doubles and singles events. The competition will be held in three age categories: under-15, under-17 and under-23. 

Mr. Chhit Saman , the coach of Cambodia national badminton team said that, the athletes were selected are all young athletes of the national team and highly talented young athletes from several other clubs.  

This is the second time for Cambodia, on behalf of the host country to host the major international youth competition, after 2023, when Cambodia won 14 medals. Mr. Chhit Saman expects that in the 2025 competition, his team will be able to compete for more medals because there is a new discipline, the athletes under 23 years of age, where the Cambodia team also has many good compositions.

Both Mr. Chhit Saman and the coaching team requested that, the audience please attend the Badminton Asia Southeast Asia Regional Championships 2025 in large numbers to encourage to the Cambodia athletes.​
