Phnom Penh: After competing for 5 days of medals, the Cambodia Table Tennis Federation has found the medalist of its championship and the competition to celebrate the 46th anniversary of Victory Day 7 January 1979-2025. The team of athletes from the General Department of Immigration won 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals.
Deputy Secretary-General of the Cambodia Table Tennis Federation, Mr. Heng Sokcheat, said: In accordance with the annual action plan of the Cambodia Table Tennis Federation and the implementation of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports’ support budget to accelerate the development of the National Sport Federations, the Cambodia Table Tennis Federation organized the National Table Tennis Championship and the 3rd Federation Trophy 2024 to celebrate the 46th anniversary of Victory Day 7 January 1979-2025, which took place from January 2 to 6, 2025.
The competition stared from January 2 to 6, 2025 was organized by the Cambodia Table Tennis Federation under the annual budget of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The national championship this year had 21 clubs and associations with 7 disciplines. The 7 disciplines included: the men’s team “A1”, men’s doubles “A1”, men’s singles “A1”, women’s singles “A1”, youth team “A2” under 18 years old, youth doubles “A2” under 18 years old and men’s singles “A2” under 18 years old.
It should also be noted that: the second winner went to the Ministry of National Defense with 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. The third winner went to the Ministry of Interior with 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal, and also the third winner went to the Stung Meanchey Club with 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals.
