Phnom Penh: H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, together with H.E. Ly Kosal, Treasurer General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia and the delegation of coaches and athletes, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Hang. Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, in the morning of July 21, 2024, before leaving to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris, France, which will run from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that: For the Olympic Games is the largest sporting event in the world and it is very difficult for athletes to participate. This can be an honor for the country and also for the athletes themselves. It is a great honor for the athletes to represent the Kingdom of Cambodia when they have the opportunity to compete in this event.
H.E. Hang Chuon Naron also sent a message to coaches and three athletes who were eligible to participate in the World Event in France 2024, when traveling somewhere must be very careful where to go and have a group that provides warmth for themselves. What is special thing is to maintain discipline, no matter when training or competing to ensure that can causes any problems.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that: The Olympic Event is to select the best athletes from different countries to participate. For the competition disciplines is also very difficult, each athlete to reach this big point is very hard and hard work. Therefore, when we have the opportunity to participate, we must do all our best to raise the image of the country.
H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, also thanked to H.E. Dr. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, who was very considerate of sports and athletes, especially warmly welcomed the delegates, coaches and athletes who have to go participate in the Olympic Games.
Please note that: Cambodia has 3 athletes in 2 sports to participate in the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris, France, including an athletic player Chhun Bunthon and 2 swimming players, Kosong de Labrarang Antwong Martin Claude and Sak Bun Apsara Katarina. All three are eligible to participate in the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
