Kampot: The Olympic Values​​Education Program which is the movement to promote the sports activities of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia to raise awareness and the benefits of playing sports has continued to promote it to students of Preah Norodom Ranariddh High School in Kampot province.

H.E. Buy Sophoan, Advisor to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, said that: The promotion of the Olympic Values ​​Education for Kampot province, the work team has been disseminated the history of the ancient and modern Olympic Games to students to learn more and make understand about the value of playing sports.

At the same time, out of promoting the Olympic Games, through presentations by experts from the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, this program also introduced students to play some sports, which shows that playing sports brings friendship, solidarity, and good relationships with each other. Meanwhile, officials of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) informed students about Cambodia will host the Asian Youth Games 2029, as a plan to mobilize support from Cambodian citizens as the host country of a major Asian event in Cambodia’s history for the first time.

Mr. Seng Thin, Deputy Director of Preah Norodom Ranariddh High School, expressed his interest that: The education and dissemination of the Olympic values ​​by the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia to students in his high school very well done, because this program has helped students to understand about the value of playing sports and has also provided the knowledge which related to the history of sports from ancient and modern times. He said that this program will encourage students to like sports and play

 

The Program of Olympic Values​​Education, organized by the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, is being offered to 10 schools in Phnom Penh and provinces in 2024. It not only provides students with knowledge about the value of playing sports, but educational and promotional activity is also a strategic plan in line with the Royal Government of Cambodia, that a people can play a sport to help the society to develop and prosper with healthy citizens and rich in sports resources that have potential for the nation.
