This year's National Secondary School Kun Lbokator Competition changes in both numbers and technology

The Kun Lbokator Competition of the 2025 National Secondary School Sports Event will be held for two days, June 12 to 13, at the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

Mr. Ou Dara, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodia Kun Lbokator Federation for Kun LBokator of this event has 8 performance and 4 fighting disciplines, with 90 male and female athletes from 13 capitals and provinces, including:

1-Phnom Penh

2-Preah Sihanouk Province

3-Siem Reap Province

4-Pursat Province

5-Kampong Chhnang Province

6-Kampong Speu Province

7-Takeo Province

8-Rattanakiri Province

9-Battambang Province

10-Kampot Province

11-Kandal Province

12-Banteay Meanchey Province

13-Stung Treng Province

Mr. Ou Dara emphasized that, this year’s participation by male and female athletes and clubs has increased, which shows greater interest from young people, especially from young women, in the fighting discipline. He acknowledged that the level of students is not yet good in all aspects due to their busy studies, but there is also some progress, especially the willingness to participate. He hopes that next year they will be better able. He said this is a good step in their development and also a good time to show their abilities to the federation to seize the opportunity to become the national resource.

Another positive change, Mr. Ou Dara said, is the addition of scoring technology, which allows for immediate and accurate scores.
