The Competition of the First Baseball5 League Is Opened Officially
Phnom Penh: The First Baseball5 League in Cambodia, organized by the Cambodia Baseball Softball Federation, is opened officially at the National Olympic Stadium.
Mr. Chhem Dara, President of the Cambodia Baseball-Softball Federation, said that: The starting of a new sport, Baseball, which includes both female players and male players to compete in each team, is difficult but this is not the big obstacle for the process of developing a professional sport. At the same time, Mr. Chhem Dara also expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, which has always provided the great support including both spirit and budget, for this sport to be revived. He also thanked the sponsors and development partners who helped organize the league for this first time.
In particular, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State, High Representative of H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, stated to praising and highly value feedback to the opinions of senior officials of the Baseball Federation of Asia and all sponsors in participating in the promotion to develop the baseball-softball in Cambodia for further development.
At the same time, H.E. Vath Chamroeun also encouraged all participating athletes to continue their hard work and training well in order to develop their potential in sports skills to their potential. In addition, H.E. Secretary of State stressed that the greatest asset is health, and the health that comes from playing sports is the pure health with a good solid foundation, which is to support a better quality of life for each person.
His Excellency also encouraged the athletes to consider that participating in baseball is an activity in their life first and must continue to love and practice it regularly to develop this sport better and better.
Please note that, the First Baseball5 League in Cambodia runs for 3 days from 22 to 24 August 2024 at the Sports Hall of the National Stadium.
