Krabey Prey Pich Sambath defeats Chinese fighter Kha Loso on points, shaking up the Chinese arena

Phnom Penh: The player with the nicknamed Krabey Prey Pich Sambath is truly unusual. He surprised and shocked the Chinese arena after defeating the strong Chinese fighter Kha Loso, who holds many institutional belts, by a score of three rounds during a mission to compete and promote the ancient Khmer martial arts in China for a team of six male and female Kun Khmer players on October 7, 2025.

The player Pich Sambath did very well and did not disappoint his fans. Although the match lasted for three rounds, he defeated the famous Chinese fighter Kha Loso in the 60 kg weight category, who holds many institutional belts and trophies, including the WBC belt, in a crushing defeat, shocking the Chinese arena. And what happened at that time was most fitting for the nickname that the Khmer people gave him as Krabey Prey (wild buffalo). Because from the first round to the third round, he rushed to use fists and punches on Kha Loso like a wild buffalo, and making the Chinese player almost unable to find a chance to fight back.


The player Pech Sambath, who came to face with the Chinese player Kha Loso this time, was only at the beginning of the first round, not even a minute into the competition, he punched Kha Loso in the face with many punches, causing him to bleed from the nose and fall to the ground and the referee counted the punches. After the doctor checked him and found that he was okay, Kha Loso was allowed to continue the fight. However, in the second and third rounds, Pech Sambath did not give up and increased his attacks even more than before. In short, he did not want his opponent to pass the third round. However, the Chinese player was able to fight until the end of the third round and fought back with his fists as revenge, refusing to give up easily. As a famous fighter who was once feared by everyone, he was finally declared defeated by Pech Sambath on points, without giving up after the end of the competition. 


Chinese fighter Kha Loso, according to his background, is a fighter who has trained in Thailand and is a strong fighter who has been fighting in Thailand for many years. Not only that, this Chinese fighter has won many belts and trophies, including the WBC world belt. But in the end, he lost to Krabey Prey (wild buffalo) Pich Sambath without giving up.


The interesting event in the trip to promote the ancient Khmer martial arts, which led by H.E. Khov Chhay, President of the Kun Khmer Federation in China, this time was held in Sichuan Province, Chengdu City on the night of October 7, 2025. The Kun Khmer delegatation that traveled to participate in this competition was 6 people. As a result, 2 wins, 1 draw, and 3 losses. The winners were Pich Sambath, female player Rithy Vanich, and Lao Chetra, who tied on points. In particular, the three losers were female player Ae Ya Nut, male player Moeun Sokhuch, and Pich Atittep.
