Phnom Penh: After the Cambodia Pencaksilat team recently broke the record for winning the first bronze medal in history at the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain last October, athletes of this new sport have now continued to win 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal at the 14th ASEAN School Games 2025 in Brunei.

The ASEAN School Games took place from 20 to 29 November 2025, and the Cambodia Pencaksilat Federation, under the permission of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, sent 8 delegates to participate, including 2 coaches, 4 players and 2 female players.
These two athletes who brought home the silver and bronze medals arrived in Cambodia last night, warmly welcomed by H.E. Pon Sok, Director General of Sports of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and representatives of the Cambodia Pencaksilat Federation at Techo International Airport.

The biggest achievements from this competition were won by Rayong Nuon Monyreach, who won a silver medal in the Boy Class B 43-47kg category, losing to the Indonesian martial arts owner in the final. And player Pook Daninhel, who won a bronze medal in the Boy Class C 47-51kg category, losing to the Indonesian martial arts owner in the semi-finals, and also a bronze medalist at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.
