The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports have officially decided to reduce the number of delegates, coaches and athletes from 333 to 150 delegates, coaches and athletes to participate in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand in December in 21 sports.

This decision to change was made upon receiving the high-level recommendations from the Royal Government to minimize risks by reducing the number of sports to be competed in Songkhla province, because of the flood-affected areas, and some other sports.
In fact, the number of delegates and sports has been reduced to 150 delegates, coaches and athletes and 13 sports.

This is a proactive spirit and a difficult decision by the leadership to ensure the participation and safety of sports delegates of Cambodia.
The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia hopes that the people of Cambodia will understand and be very tolerant of this difficult decision.
