Muth Somavot​ey claims that she still continues her dream of winning a gold medal despite only winning a silver medal in 2025

A female player Muth Somavotey from the Neakreach Meanchey Boxing Club, she only won a silver medal in the 2025 National Boxing Championship after losing to Vy Sreysros in the final by giving up in the second round.

Although she only won a silver medal, and she could not achieve her goal of winning a gold medal for the club from competition of the National Boxing Championship. However, the 18-year-old athlete is still determined not to give up and will continue to train hard to improve her skills in preparation for winning a gold medal next year.

This female athlete from Takeo Province stated that her failure in the boxing arena at this time cannot be stopped her determination to walk on the boxing way. She said that the failure is an experience that has encouraged her to work harder and train more to achieve her dream of winning a gold medal for her club and family, and to get the opportunity to advance to international competitions abroad in the future.

Please note that, the female athlete Muth Somavatey is a boxing female athlete from the Neak Reach Meanchey Club. She is the only daughter in her family, and she was born in Tram Kak District, Takeo Province. She is 18 years old and a first-year student at university. Before Somavatey has entered in the boxing sector, she was involved in Lbokator, then she has changed to train Kun Khmer and has also competed in the national championships in both Lbokator and Kun Khmer, but she has only won silver and bronze medals.
