Mr. Casey Barnett sets goal to win Olympic medals in 2036

Phnom Penh: Mr. Casey Barnett, Vice President of the Cambodia Wrestling Federation, revealed the goal of the Cambodia Wrestling Federation that in the 2036 Olympic Games, which may be held in India, the wrestling section will win medals for Cambodia from the major sporting events which held every four years.

This goal, set by the Vice President of Cambodia Wrestling Federation has been expanding the scope and adding potential to several provinces, starting from 2026 onwards, by establishing large standard training and competition halls in Pursat province, Kampong Chhnang province, Kandal province and Phnom Penh. In these training and competition halls, the federation will send coaches to train talented young people from 10 to 12 years old to respond to training and competition with quality.

Turning to Cambodia's vision, from 2026 onwards, it has been establishing a collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia to seek support from American companies investing in Cambodia to provide support to Cambodian athletes in potential sports, training, nutrition, clothing, and sports equipment in the process of developing the capabilities of Cambodian athletes in preparation for competing in the 2028 Olympic Games in the United States.
