Level 1 Hockey Coaching Course Provides the Foundation to Help the Development of Hockey in Cambodia

Phnom Penh: Mr. Kaing Sothea, Secretary General of the Cambodia Hockey Federation, said that the Olympic Solidarity Coaching Course on Hockey Level 1 is a part of providing the foundation for new coaches to share and train young athletes to expand the resources of athletes in clubs and make them more diverse and potential.

The Secretary General of the Federation confirmed that, the most of participants who attended this course were national hockey athletes and some were coaches from various clubs. And this training course is to urge them to develop themselves into coaches with quality and coaching skills.

The Secretary General affirmed that, the coaching resources that have passed the Level 1 Hockey Course are also a very important part in producing quality young athletes when Cambodia hosts the Asian Youth Olympic Games in 2029.

Please note that, the Olympic Solidarity Coaching Course on Hockey Level 1, organized by the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia in collaboration with the Cambodia Hockey Federation through the Olympic Solidarity (OS) project, lasted for 5 days. Participants from 5 capitals and provinces, including: Phnom Penh, Kampong Cham, Pursat, Siem Reap and Kampong Thom Province, totaling 25 participants, were trained by Pakistani coach Mr. Taher Zaman from the International Hockey Federation.
