Phnom Penh: Mr. San Saoyan, a former strong kun Khmer fighter in Banteay Meanchey province and currently is a Kun Khmer coach and the father of Kun Khmer player Chhong Visal, the silver medalist at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in the Kingdom of Bahrain, was invited to welcome his son back from participating in the competition in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He said that as a father, I was really excited, I never expected that my son Chhong Visal would reach the finals of this big event. Although he won the silver medal and could not win the gold medal for the country, it is the pride for the family and the country.

Mr. San Saoyan said that, until his son reaching the finals of the Asian Games event was a great effort, and he, as a father, he praised to his son's perseverance, both in strength and technique, because some days he competed in two matches.

Mr. San Saoyan considered the silver medal that his son won for the country from the 3rd Asian Youth Games to be an example to encourage the next generation of Kun Khmer youth to further hone their skills and get the opportunity to represent the country in international competitions. At the same time, as a father, he is determined to encourage his son to continue to work hard by looking at the models of senior Kun Khmer players.
The Silver medalist Chhong Visal is the second son of Mr. San Saoyan among four children, currently 16 years old, and is an athlete of the Kun Khmer national youth team.
