With permission
from the Royal Government of Cambodia, athletes of Cambodia in 21 sports will
compete in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand, which will be held from December
3 to 20, with the official opening ceremony taking place on December 9.
In the
participation of the Southeast Asian Games, Cambodia will send a total of 333
delegates, coaches, and athletes.

For 21 sports
that Cambodia will compete in include athletics, swimming, equestrian, fencing,
gymnastics, judo, taekwondo WT, triathlon, volleyball, football, wrestling, pencaksilat,
kickboxing, petanque, sepaktakraw and chinlone, jet ski, karate, jiu-jitsu,
wushu, table football, and e-sports.
In the recent
interview, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic
Committee of Cambodia, said that Cambodia’s participation in the 2025 SEA Games
will receive the special support from the host country, and the athletes and
sports delegation will stay together in the same hotel in Bangkok. H.E. Vath
Chamroeun has also reminded about the principle of Olympic Movement of
non-discrimination. Sports competitions are not political platforms, but rather
technical competitions that create peace and harmony.

It should be
noted that, in the 2023 SEA Games, Cambodia, as the host country, finished in
ranking fourth place with 81 gold medals, 74 silver medals and 127 bronze
medals, for a total of 282 medals.
