This is according to the results of the regional group draw in the evening of January 15, 2026, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in the presence of H.E. Khieu Samet, Vice President of the Cambodia Football Federation and President of the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF).

For the results of the draw, Group A has 5 teams, including the national teams of Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore and the winner of the play-off between Brunei and Timor-Leste. Group B has the same 5 teams, including the national teams of Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar and Laos.
For the biennial regional football championship will take place from July 24 to August 26, 2026, and the teams ranked first and second in each group will advance to the next round, which will require two matches (home and away) to determine the champion.
