Cambodia won a gold medal at the international sailing competition in Singapore

The team of Cambodia sailing athletes won a gold medal from competing event of the 45th Singapore Open Windsurfing, Wing & Wind Foiling Championship 2026 in Singapore, which was held from 12 to 15 February 2026.

 

In fact, male athlete Keo Phearun won the gold medal in the Windsurfing Techno 293 Open event among 9 competitors. Meanwhile, male athlete Sem Prospov, competing in the IQ:Foil Open event, came in fourth place among seven competitors.

The event of the 45th Singapore Open Windsurfing, Wing & Wind Foiling Championship 2026 will feature a total of 50 athletes from regional countries, and this competing event is an important opportunity for the Cambodian sailing team to strengthen their capabilities and especially their competitiveness in preparation for the 20th Asian Games which scheduled to be held in September 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

 

The Cambodia Sailing Federation considers that, this is a new success for the Cambodia Sailing Federation in early 2026, which the Cambodia sailing team won the gold medal in the Windsurfing Techno 293 international sailing competition. This victory also occurred under the leadership and guidance of H.E. Gordon Tang, President of the Federation, and H.E. Thong Rathsak, Permanent Vice President of the Federation, who always provide opportunities for athletes to compete internationally, and bringing medals to the nation as continuously.

Please also confirm that, the Cambodia Sailing Federation plans to send male and female athletes to participate in the international competitions as continuously, such as in Malaysia and Singapore to continue competing for medals for the Nation.
