Ministry of Education and Myanmar Business Promotion Center vow to strengthen cooperation in sports sector

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the International Business Promotion Center of Myanmar have strengthened their relations to enhance cooperation in sports between the two countries. This was stated by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State, High Representative of H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, after allowing Mr. Aik Htun, Director of the International Business Promotion Center of Myanmar, and his delegates to pay a courtesy call and discuss work yesterday.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun said that, the work meeting with the Myanmar business delegates focused on work relations in the sports sector and exchanges between the two countries, which both sides are committed to strengthen friendship and expand good relationship, as in the past, Cambodia and Myanmar have worked hard to establish good relations with each other at all international forums in the sports sector and the Olympic movement, etc. 



At the same time, to ensure the strong cooperation, the Myanmar side proposed to cooperate in organizing a series of friendly matches, especially starting with the table tennis first, with the aim of encouraging young people to change their techniques as well as receive hospitality, while Cambodia is happy to review this work, as well as review other sports industry and sports affairs that the two sides will work together.



His Excellency continued that, “This is a time for the sports sectors of the two countries, which can become a step towards strengthening cooperation in the sports sector for the better future. We are ready to participate in this in accordance with the principles of the Royal Government and the Ministry of Education, as Cambodia will expand cooperation in all sectors, especially sports, and reach deep bilateral cooperation with all countries, especially countries in the region.”

H.E. Vath Chamroeun added, “As a principle of ASEAN, we will be able to do this cooperation, and we have made this communication and cooperation through the Directorate General of Sports of our Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports with the delegates who came to visit to understand and join hands with our sports sector. We hope that this cooperation will soon reach good achievements.” 



Taking this opportunity, Mr. Aik Htun expressed his high appreciation and valuating for the progress of the Cambodia sports sector. What is special is that the President of the Myanmar Chamber of Commerce is still in awe of the great success of the 2023 SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia, which are the special case and a positive for the future in organizing, building and developing the Cambodian sports sector.
