By the permission of the leader and the support of sponsors, the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia will organize the Angkor Empire Marathon 2025 again, under the themes of "Run for Peace and Well-being of the People", "Run to Protect Human Heritage" and "Run to Help Soldiers and Refugees". This was stated by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia.
His Excellency the Secretary General added that, this is a spirit of patriotism and national unity to help the front battlefield and refugees with both materials and funds, because the suffering of the nation is the suffering of all people. This is also a message to show the foreign world that they know and have seen the destruction of the Preah Vihear Temple, which is a human heritage, and it is also an image that is broadcast to the world so that the international community can see that Cambodia is a country in need of peace.
In fact, His Excellency the Secretary General also stated that the funds received from the Angkor Empire Marathon, in addition to contributing to charity programs and children's hospitals, the organizing commission will also help frontline soldiers and refugees. Therefore, His Excellency urged the runners to participate in the event to be more and more, including shouting the three main themes, and the commission will prepare flags and banners to be flown to show the national and international spirit in order to promote the spirit of nationalism.
For the new date of the competition, it will be held on Sunday, August 31, and the organizing commission is also open to the public and students who want to participate can register. The total number of participants can be no less than 4,000. So there will be good and safe preparations.
